What is Salvage?

Salvage refers to situations where a boat is in serious trouble and needs help beyond a standard tow. This can include cases where a vessel is aground, stranded, taking on water, sinking, or otherwise in danger.

In these situations, our crew takes immediate action to recover and protect your vessel. Because salvage involves higher risk and more complex operations, it is handled differently than routine towing services.

While many marine insurance policies may cover salvage, it’s important to know that a BoatU.S. Towing Services plan does not include coverage for salvage or wreck removal.
